A specialist fine art printing studio based in Suffolk, producing museum-grade reproductions for artists, galleries and collectors across the UK and Europe.
Indigo Giclée came to me at a pivotal moment. The studio had built a strong reputation in traditional fine art reproduction, but lockdown had accelerated a fundamental shift in how artists were creating and distributing work. Digital art and photography were surging, and the existing brand simply wasn't keeping up. It was corporate, personality-free, and had no visual or emotional connection to the art world it served. For a studio whose entire purpose is bringing art to life, that was a problem worth solving. The brief was a rebrand, initiated in-house through the design agency I was working at, where Indigo Giclée was a sister company. I was the sole designer on the project, working directly under the Creative Director.
The strategic decision was to place the artist front and centre. At the height of NFT and digital-only art dominating cultural conversation, Indigo Giclée had a genuine opportunity to position itself as the grounded, physical alternative. The tagline, Your Art. Made Real., captured that perfectly: a direct, confident statement about the transformative power of putting digital work into the real world.
The visual identity was intentionally restrained. A monochrome palette kept the focus on what matters most: the artwork and the paper. Sustainability was embedded throughout, with all materials specified to be carbon neutral or carbon negative.The work spanned brand identity, website design, packaging, campaign concepting and curated paper sample packs, allowing artists to experience each stock firsthand before committing.
Today, Indigo Giclée prints are present in every major gallery across the UK, serving thousands of customers each month. The studio has since launched an automated drop-shipping service and is working towards B Corp certification.
